Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee area is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the ambulatory care team. This is a full-time role with a schedule generally running Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm, with potential travel within the Greater Milwaukee Area for some positions.

You will welcome patients, take vital signs and histories, prepare for exams, assist providers, and document care in the electronic health record while collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable MA experience.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians and nurses to deliver coordinated care.
