Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year MA experience.
• Certification: CCMA/NCRMA preferred; BLS within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Schedule tests and obtain films/reports per policy.
• Assist physicians and nurses with procedures per competency checklist.
• Coordinate and record patient history elements for staff review.
• Submit refills to outpatient pharmacies electronically or by fax.
• Maintain medical records and ensure required documentation.
• Keep exam rooms organized, stocked, and logs up to date.
• Perform clerical duties: greeting, registration, scheduling, and billing prep.
• Take vital signs and basic screening, document in records.
