Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Westwood Medical Pavilion - West location in Kansas. The role focuses on ensuring efficient flow of patients, preparing patients for visits, performing limited procedures, and supporting the care team with documentation and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include scheduling tests, assisting physicians, recording history elements, submitting prescriptions, maintaining records, greeting and registering patients, and taking vitals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year as Medical Assistant or CCMA/NCRMA certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedule tests, obtain films/reports, and prepare lab specimens according to policy.
• Assist physicians with procedures and examinations as defined on competency checklist.
• Coordinate patient care with health care team and record patient history elements for clinical staff review.
• electronically submit prescriptions and refills to outpatient pharmacies.
• Maintain medical records and ensure documentation is complete and available.
• Greet patients, register, schedule, pre-certify tests, and process ambulatory care charges.
• Take vital signs, height, weight, and basic screening procedures with documentation.
