Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

The role is part-time with rotating shifts and offers day-one benefits and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven health system serving Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited MA program and externship.
• MA internship or EMT or Paramedic training.
• Credentialed options include MA certification readiness or active EMT/Paramedic license in Michigan.
• Valid CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
