Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care in a day shift, part-time role in Michigan. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

This position emphasizes patient and family education, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and participation in quality improvement and disease

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with completion of an MA program and externship or MA internship.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials are also acceptable.
• MA certification eligibility is desirable; current CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
