Job summary

Cherry Health seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support on-site primary care services at the Neighborhood Wellness Center in Grand Rapids. The role focuses on patient intake, vital signs, and coordinating with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will perform health screenings, assist with examinations, and educate patients on results. Experience with EHRs and vaccines is preferred; multiple certifications welcome.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or attainment of one of the listed certifications.
• 1-2 years of medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health screenings (lipid panel, blood pressure, diabetes/A1C, BMI, height/weight).
• Use iPad voice translation if needed and educate patients on results.
• Collaborate with a Community Health Worker to connect patients with community resources.
• Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and patient flow.
• Prepare for and assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Document results in the EHR and manage vaccines per program guidelines.
