Job summary

Cherry Health in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Medical Assistant for Heart of the City Adult Medicine. The role supports providers in primary care, prepares charts, manages patient flow, and performs vital signs and exams as directed. Requires completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program and CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/ARMA/NRCMA certifications.

BLS/CPR is required; 1-2 years experience preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm with occasional Saturday clinics, and benefits accompany

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or one of CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/ARMA/NRCMA certifications.
• 1-2 years of medical assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete chart preparation and update orders and referrals.
• Manage clinic flow and greet patients to the examining room.
• Take vital signs and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare for provider orders including blood draws and labs.
• Document results in the EHR and manage vaccine program.
