Job summary

Indiana University Health Oncology Clinic in Bloomington is looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support providers and patients. You will room patients, record vital signs, perform routine lab draws and injections after training, and handle scheduling and EMR tasks to keep clinics running smoothly.

Under supervision, you’ll ensure accurate data entry, patient communication, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current certification in medical assisting from CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or CMAC.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document patient information and vital signs.
• Perform front-office duties including scheduling and EMR documentation.
• Perform lab draws and administer injections after training.
• Ensure accurate medical orders and referrals are carried out.

Education

CMA / RMA / CCMA / NCMA / CMAC certification

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical Assistant program (preferred)
