Job summary

OLE Health seeks a Medical Assistant I for a part-time role at the South Napa Campus. The position supports the medical team with patient intake, rooming, education, and documentation, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays and benefits prorated for part-time staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and MA program completion in California; CA MA certification and phlebotomy cert are strongly preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• . Accredited medical assistant program in California; CA MA cert strongly preferred.
• . Phlebotomy certificate strongly preferred.
• . CA Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• . Bilingual English/Spanish and other languages strongly preferred.
• . Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• . Computer skills including MS Office; data entry; EHR experience.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients for program eligibility for health coverage programs.
• Assists patients with program applications and documentation collection.
• Educates patients and families about health coverage programs.
• Data entry of patient information into EHR.
• Support for community events and health fairs.
• Greet patients and ensure positive patient experience.
• Room patients and document vital signs.
• Document patient history and health status.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions.
• Perform panel management and non-visit tasks as assigned.
• Collaborate with providers to deliver high-quality care.
• Ensure timely provider/MA huddles and shift readiness.
• Perform routine screening and procedures as directed and document findings.
• Administer immunizations per provider orders and document.
