Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team in ambulatory settings. The role involves clinical and administrative tasks, patient interaction, and ensuring a seamless, compassionate experience for every visit.

Clinics operate with early hours, and the MA will work with providers, nurses, and staff to document care and coordinate patient care paths. Training in phlebotomy is preferred, with opportunities across multiple Illinois sites.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable Medical Assistant experience, or current certified/registered Medical Assistant with 2 years of verifiable Medical Assistant experience.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
