Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for Express Care located at 480 Lynnfield Street, Lynn, MA. The role supports clinical and non-clinical patient services under supervision, including vital signs, rooming patients, and handling administrative tasks.

The position requires 1–2 years of MA or related medical field experience, BLS preferred, and opportunities to perform phlebotomy and immunizations with appropriate certification or supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants with onboarding and training.
• Show patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, measure vital signs, weight, and height, and record in medical chart.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions; provide patient education materials.
• Perform general office duties (phones, dictation, insurance forms) and liaise with other departments.
• Collect and prep blood/tissue samples; perform phlebotomy if competence is demonstrated.
• Maintenance of immunization inventory and check expiration dates; administer immunizations as applicable with supervision or certification.
• Contribute to quality initiatives such as patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
