Qualified candidates have MA training with externship or 6 months MA experience, bilingual abilities, and a collaborative attitude to support comprehensive community health services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Training program with externship or 6 months MA experience.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish/Khmer/Russian with knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Exceptional attendance and a positive work attitude.
• A desire to work as a collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow and optimize appointment times.
• Ensure data and forms are available to providers prior to visits.
• Obtain patient history, allergies, and pertinent information in the EHR.
• Perform vital signs, screenings, and point-of-care testing.
• Prepare patients and assist with exams and procedures.
• Assist with paperwork and phone calls as assigned.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and attend trainings and meetings.
