Job summary

Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support daily clinic operations on-site in Tacoma. You’ll room patients, record vital signs, administer immunizations, perform phlebotomy and basic labs, and keep exam rooms clean and stocked.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current WA State MA-C certification.
• At least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience with patients of all ages.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and document patient histories.
• Administer immunizations and medications as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab procedures; assist with limited x-rays if certified.
• Support providers with patient care and workflows; assist with scheduling and EMR documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized, stocked exam rooms and deliver compassionate service.

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and helping our clinic run smoothly every day.
