Job summary

Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) in Tacoma, WA is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered care team. This on-site role supports rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with exams, immunizations, and phlebotomy while keeping clinics running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, WA MA-C certification, and at least three years of MA experience with electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C)
• At least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience with patients of all ages
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and preparing them for exams and procedures
• Taking vital signs and patient histories
• Administering immunizations and medications as directed
• Performing phlebotomy and basic lab procedures
• Supporting providers and nurses with patient care and workflow
• Assisting with scheduling and EMR documentation
• Maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms

Hiring Range: $26.85 - $28.19 per hour

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and helping our clinic run smoothly every day.
