Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) is hiring Medical Assistants for our Primary Care and OB/GYN teams in Tacoma, WA. This on-site role focuses on patient-centered care, rooming, vital signs, and routine testing to keep clinics running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C).
• At least three years of Medical Assistant experience with patients of all ages.
• Previous OB/GYN or women's health experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and patient histories; perform diagnostic testing.
• Administer immunizations and medications as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy, lab procedures, and limited x-rays if certified.
• Support providers and nurses with patient care and workflow.
• Assist with scheduling, documentation, and EMR.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-focused service to every individual.

Schedule: Full-Time | Mon – Fri, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Hiring Range: $26.85 - $28.19 per hour
