Job summary

Allure HCS is seeking a Medicaid Specialist Assistant to provide on-site support at one of our Illinois facilities. This part-time role focuses on timely Medicaid processing for residents and requires strong attention to detail and communication.

You will review eligibility, liaise with the Corporate Medicaid team, and assist with monthly reporting and redeterminations while maintaining records securely. Collaborative teamwork is essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility is required.
• Knowledge of Illinois Medicaid eligibility and terminology is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail with reliable follow-through.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple assignments with deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Review daily facility census for residents requiring Medicaid eligibility review.
• Identify Medicaid-eligible admissions and notify the Corporate Medicaid Specialist for timely processing.
• Print and organize resident face sheets and supporting documentation.
• Review Illinois Medicaid verification requests and determine required documents.
• Communicate professionally with facility staff, residents, families, and outside agencies.
• Contact POA, responsible parties, families, or other authorized representatives to obtain documentation.
• Assist with monthly reporting and follow-up to maintain Medicaid coverage across facilities.
• Support with annual Medicaid redeterminations and related documentation as needed.
• Maintain accurate records while protecting confidential resident information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
