Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring a Part Time Meat Clerk in Springfield, PA. You will assist customers, prepare and stock meat, and maintain a clean, safe meat department. The role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to club standards.

Responsibilities include weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking meat products; rotating stock by expiration; and assisting members with questions about meats, poultry, and seafood. Attendance and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery.
• Ensures the meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked.
• Rotates meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
