This is a part-time position responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking meat products according to Meat Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. The role may also include duties of a seafood clerk when assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, willingness to participate in training, and ability to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence in English; effective in small group and one-on-one communication.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions; deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Certificates and Licenses: Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently, reaching from 6-72 inches. Specific vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work in a cool environment (34-36°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
