This is a part-time position responsible for processing, packaging, and stocking meat products according to Meat Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. The role may include duties of a seafood clerk when assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in and complete required training; team-oriented to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
• Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence in English; effective in small group and one-on-one communication.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform addition and subtraction with two-digit numbers, using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions; problem-solving involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications and Physical Demands

• Complete company training including orientation, food sanitation, safety, and product knowledge.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Work occurs in a cool environment (34-36°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and extreme cold. Noise levels are usually moderate to loud. Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
