Blue Central Group is seeking a dedicated MDS Coordinator to join our healthcare team in a part-time capacity. You will coordinate comprehensive resident assessments in long-term care facilities, ensuring CMS and state regulatory compliance while optimizing documentation and reimbursement processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical documentation skills, extensive Medicare/Medicaid knowledge, and experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or PCC.

Qualifications

• Experience with MDS processes and CMS/Medicare regulations.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid policies and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with CDI, utilization review, and health information management.

Responsabilités

• Conduct assessments of residents using the MDS process to evaluate clinical needs.
• Ensure timely completion and accurate documentation of all MDS items per CMS guidelines.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and medical staff to gather resident information.
• Review medical records and care plans to verify accuracy for MDS submissions.
• Maintain knowledge of federal/state regulations and reimbursement criteria.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for data entry, documentation review, and reporting.
