Qualifications

• Knowledge of algebra, finite, and calculus concepts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse student body.
• Preferred qualifications include a degree in a related area with previous tutoring or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistency in availability to provide small group and one-on-one tutoring services.
• Define and follow through with each student on stated objectives and tutoring goals.
• Provide tutoring in college algebra, finite, and quantitative reasoning; calculus preferred.
• Teaches and assists students in the use of computer software as needed.
• Instructs students in the use of software programs, including Microsoft Excel, and related materials.
• Encourage students to utilize study skills and college success techniques.
• Operate computers, printers, and other hardware.
• Work independently or in a team with other tutors.
