Job summary

Mathematical Assistance Training (Mathnasium of Roland Park) in Towson, MD is seeking a Part-time Math Instructor/Tutor to deliver engaging lessons to 1st–12th grade students using the Mathnasium Method. You will foster confidence and mastery through systematic instruction in a collaborative team setting.

We offer flexible after‑school and weekend hours, a fun, supportive environment, opportunities for advancement, ongoing training, and all required curriculum and teaching tools to help you

Qualifications

• Passion for math and working with students; demonstrate math ability through Algebra 1.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; engage with students and create a fun learning environment.
• Willingness to learn; complete 15–20 hours of training within one month of hire.
• Ability to multitask and document student work; provide constructive feedback.
• Professional demeanor; communicate with parents and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
• Available to work 6–10 hours across at least two shifts per week; up to 20–25 hours in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Use the Mathnasium Method and teaching constructs.
• Maintain availability and provide accurate information about your schedule.
• Continuously strive to become a great instructor.
• Demonstrate retention of information learned during training and meetings.
• Attend staff meetings roughly every 4–6 weeks outside instructional hours.
• Teach in a way that makes sense to students; be encouraging and provide feedback.
• Support administrative tasks and help maintain center cleanliness.
