Job summary

Mathnasium of Bethesda is seeking a part-time Instructor to deliver math instruction to 1st–12th grade students using the Mathnasium Method. You will build student confidence through engaging lessons and careful materials in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities include applying the Mathnasium approach, maintaining availability, and supporting center operations. The role emphasizes excellent customer service and ongoing training to advance teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Passion for math and ability to work with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and inspire students.
• Willingness to learn; complete ~20 hours of training within 1 month.
• Ability to multitask and manage several students/topics simultaneously.
• Professional, friendly communication with parents, students and staff.
• Available to work 6-10 hours across at least two weekday shifts and one weekend shift.

Responsibilities

• Use the Mathnasium Method and teaching constructs.
• Maintain good availability and communicate weekly availability.
• Continuously strive to become a great instructor.
• Apply training and staff updates in daily instruction.
• Attend staff meetings ~every 4-6 weeks outside instructional hours.
• Teach in a way that makes sense to each student.
• Provide support to center operations and assist with cleanliness.
