The Department of Mathematics at Virginia Tech invites applications for a pool of qualified adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate mathematics on a part-time, semester-by-semester basis. Appointments are made as departmental instructional needs arise and are contingent upon enrollment, funding, and curriculum requirements.

• Master's degree in mathematics or related discipline by date of hire.
• Minimum 18 graduate hours of graduate mathematics coursework.
• Experience teaching college-level mathematics.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate mathematics courses in person on the Blacksburg campus.
• Prepare and deliver lectures and instructional materials.
• Assess and evaluate student work and provide feedback.
