Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Department of Mathematics and Statistics is creating a pool of adjunct faculty for upcoming semester course sections. Applications remain active until June 2027; you may resubmit for subsequent years.

Teaching will primarily be for introductory 100–200 level courses, in person in Richmond, Virginia. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a related field and demonstrated teaching experience; a PhD is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree and demonstrated teaching experience.
• Preferred qualifications include a PhD or doctoral degree in a related discipline.
• Candidates must be able to teach in person in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

• Follow all designated course instruction guidelines.
• Attend course coordination and department meetings as schedule permits.
• Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on provided rubrics.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
• Submit final grades according to College and Department policies.
