Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Part-Time Laboratory Technician to join our Materials team in Burlington, New Jersey. You will perform lab testing on construction materials to support public safety and project quality, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with interest in hands-on work.
• 0–2 years of experience in a laboratory or related environment (training provided).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, stand, and perform outdoor work in varying weather.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and fireproofing.
• Prepare, label, handle, and document material samples for testing and reporting.
• Pickup samples from construction sites and transport to the laboratory; deliver equipment as needed.
• Operate basic laboratory tools following Atlas safety policies and lab protocols.
• Review project directions, maps, and testing instructions to ensure testing on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
