Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and ID is seeking a part-time Master Level Clinician (MLC) or Licensed Therapist at our SE Clinic in Houston, TX. You will conduct assessments, develop recovery plans, and provide services aligned with Trauma Informed and Patient Centered principles within performance contracts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent; TX LPC-A/LMFT-A/LMSW licensure required.
• Minimum 6 months of clinical experience.
• Knowledge of CBT, diagnosis formulation, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in formulation of the consumer’s treatment and planning.
• Monitors progress toward treatment goals and effectiveness of interventions.
• Performs clinical assessments to determine priority population diagnosis and needs.
• Provides cognitive behavioral therapy focusing on reducing symptoms of mental illness.
• Provides crisis intervention to reduce symptoms and prevent admission to a more restrictive environment.
• Advocates for consumers to ensure needs are met within The Harris Center system and community.
