Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD in Houston, TX is seeking a Master Level Clinician (MLC) for the NW Clinic - Adult Clinic. Under supervision, the MLC conducts assessments, safety planning, and evidence-based interventions for individuals with severe mental illness.

You will provide CBT, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and coordinate care with inpatient and outpatient teams, while ensuring services meet medical necessity and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent required.
• LPC-A, LMFT-A or LMSW licensure in Texas.
• At least 6 months of clinical experience.
• Knowledge of diagnostic criteria and CBT approaches.

Responsibilities

• Formulate consumer's treatment plans, including assessments and service authorization.
• Monitor progress toward treatment goals and adjust interventions.
• Conduct clinical assessments to determine eligibility and needs.
• Provide CBT focusing on reducing severe symptoms and improving ADLs.
• Provide crisis intervention to reduce symptoms and prevent hospital admission.
