Job summary

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is seeking a Master Level Clinician (MLC) or Licensed Therapist (LPHA) to join the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) in Texas. You will perform independent assessments, crisis interventions, and case management, coordinating with inpatient and outpatient teams to ensure medical necessity and timely access to services.

Responsibilities include crisis assessments, treatment planning, family education, trauma-informed care, and meticulous documentation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social, behavior, or human service field.
• Texas licensure: LPC-A, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT or LMFT.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Must maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform community-based crisis assessments to determine level of care.
• Provide crisis counseling and intervention to reduce symptoms.
• Collaboratively create a treatment plan with the consumer.
• Provide case management to access necessary care.
• Monitor progress toward treatment goals and linkage to services.
• Educate family members about symptoms, treatment, and resources.
• Complete electronic documentation daily per MCOT guidelines.
• Follow trauma-informed principles in interactions.
• Meet divisional productivity standards.
• Perform related duties and respond to referrals as needed.
