Job summary

Alamo Colleges District seeks a Master Certified Interpreter to provide American Sign Language interpretation for deaf and hard of hearing students and internal partners across campuses. This is a part-time, hourly position reporting to the Interpreter Services Manager.

Qualified candidates will hold BEI Master Certificate or RID certification and possess or pursue BEI within six months of hire. The role requires travel to campuses as needed and background checks per policy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in interpreting.
• Three years of ASL interpretation experience with certification.
• Must hold BEI Master Certificate or RID certification (or BEI within six months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provides American Sign Language interpretation for deaf and hard of hearing students and internal partners of the Alamo Colleges.
• Reports to the Interpreter Services Manager.
