• Keep docks, facilities, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition through routine cleaning and minor maintenance.
• Support safe marina operations by monitoring dock activity and enforcing marina rules.
• Report accidents, incidents, hazards, equipment concerns, and near-misses promptly.

Department: Marina Operations

Position Overview

Join the Delegal Creek Marina team and help provide a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for boaters and residents of The Landings. The Part-Time Marina Dockhand supports daily marina operations, assists customers, handles vessels and equipment, and helps maintain the docks, facilities, and dock store.

Schedule

• Primary hours: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on two weekend-adjacent days.
• Flexible day options: Friday/Saturday, Saturday/Sunday, or Sunday/Monday.
• Additional days and hours may be available to provide coverage for full-time employees as needed.
• Regular weekend availability and schedule reliability are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist boaters with fueling, hoisting, washing, docking, securing, and loading or unloading vessels and equipment.
• Provide friendly, responsive customer service and answer questions about marina services and amenities.
• Process dock store transactions accurately and professionally.
• Keep docks, facilities, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition through routine cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, painting, and minor maintenance.
• Support safe marina operations by monitoring dock activity, courteously enforcing marina rules, and following environmental and fueling requirements.
• Report accidents, incidents, hazards, equipment concerns, and near-misses promptly.
• Work cooperatively with marina and TLA staff, complete assigned tasks on time, and assist during operational emergencies or severe weather events when needed.
