Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center in Georgia is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role. You will perform high-quality mammography exams, communicate clearly with patients, and support a collaborative radiology team in a busy clinical setting.

The position emphasizes patient safety, image quality, and efficient workflow. A Radiologic Technology program completion and ARRT credentials are required, with ongoing professional development encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, confirming patient identity with two unique identifiers.
• Gather relevant history, screen for contraindications, and explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort while positioning patients safely and assisting with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality and completeness, maintaining a strong first-time acceptance rate before releasing patients.
• Use sound clinical judgment and assist in emergencies or across imaging areas when needed.
• Operate mammography equipment safely, optimize dose and technique, and keep equipment clean per infection control guidelines.
• Perform QC tests and document results; ensure images are labeled and stored in PACS/RIS.
• Maintain daily charge capture and help train new team members.
