Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a Mammography Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and supportive patient care. This part-time role offers a predictable schedule within a collaborative imaging team, enabling balance between meaningful clinical work and life outside the hospital.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R/M certifications, BLS, and at least one year of radiologic and mammography

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) certifications; BLS.

Aufgaben

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Confirm patient identity with two unique identifiers.
• Explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort; assist with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality and completeness; maintain high first-time acceptance rate.
• Operate mammography equipment safely; optimize dose and technique.
• Complete required QC tests (ACR/MQSA) and documentation.
• Ensure images are labeled, oriented, and stored in PACS/RIS.
• Maintain daily charge capture for procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and address questions.
