Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging while guiding patients with clear explanations and compassionate care.

The role requires ARRT credentials in radiography and mammography, at least 1 year of radiologic and mammography experience, and a commitment to safety and teamwork within a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program mandatory.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography) and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce patient anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity and comfort during positioning.
• Review images for quality and completeness before release.
• Document and label images in PACS/RIS; maintain daily charge capture.
• Keep equipment clean; follow infection control and FDA guidelines.
