Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time position. You will provide safe, high-quality imaging while helping patients feel informed and supported.

This role offers a predictable schedule and flexible week coverage to balance clinical work with life outside the hospital. The successful candidate will have ARRT-R and ARRT-M credentials, a radiologic technology background, and at least one year of mammography experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience and 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and patient identification.
• Explain the exam and reduce anxiety using AIDET.
• Protect patient privacy and positioning; assist transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality and ensure first-time acceptance before release.
• Maintain labeling, PACS/RIS documentation, and daily charge capture.
• Operate equipment safely; manage dose and infection control; keep clean.
• Complete QC tests: Phantom, Visual Checklist, Repeat Analysis, and more.
• Provide clear pre- and post-exam instructions and patient education.
• Collaborate with a fast-paced imaging team.
