Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role. You will provide safe, high-quality imaging while explaining procedures and supporting patients in a busy, patient-centered team.

The position requires radiologic technologist credentials, mammography experience, and ARRT certifications. Expect a collaborative environment with focus on quality, safety, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Gather relevant history, screen for contraindications, and explain the exam to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and completeness with a focus on first-time acceptance.
