Job summary

Pivotal Housing Partners LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Newton Senior community in Newton, IA. The position is part-time (24 hours/week) with on-call availability for emergencies and a starting pay rate of $21+ per hour.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders, performing routine maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, and ensuring a safe, comfortable living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
• HVAC training and certification preferred.
• Regular attendance and reliability, including potential weekend/OT hours.
• Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders via smartphone apps.
• On-call availability for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to residents.
• Complete resident work orders within 24–48 hours.
• Perform general maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Assist with court-ordered set-outs when necessary.
• Conduct unit turnover between residents (3–5 days).
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal.
• Be available for on-call emergencies.
