Job summary

Pivotal is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a part-time role (24 hours/week) at our Newton Senior community in Newton, IA. The position offers on-call support for emergencies and a starting pay range of $21+ per hour.

You will perform routine maintenance to maintain a safe, attractive living environment for residents. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, manage work orders via a maintenance app, and provide excellent resident service while prioritizing multiple

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• HVAC training and certification preferred
• On-call availability for emergencies

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents
• Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24 to 48-hour expectation)
• Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Assist with court-ordered set-outs when necessary
• Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days)
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Be responsive to on-call emergencies
