Job summary

Pivotal Housing Partners LLC in Grimes, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 24-hour-per-week part-time schedule. You will maintain the property’s physical integrity, perform routine tasks, and respond to emergencies.

You must have 1+ years of related experience; HVAC training is preferred; reliable transportation is required and you must be able to use smartphone apps to manage work orders. On-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• HVAC training and certification preferred.
• Commitment to regular attendance (may include weekend and OT hours).
• Ability to be “on-call” for emergencies.
• Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders by using smartphone applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents.
• Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24 to 48-hour expectation).
• Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary.
• Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days).
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Be responsive to on-call emergencies.
