Job summary

Pivotal Housing Partners in Lincoln, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a part-time role (24 hours/week) with on-call support for emergencies. You will ensure safety and comfort of residents, handle routine maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and respond promptly to work orders via our Maintenance Mobile app.

Starting pay is $21 per hour with benefits including weekly pay, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, PTO, and access to EAP and professional

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience
• HVAC training and certification preferred
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to be on-call for emergencies
• Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders using smartphone apps

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to residents
• Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24–48 hours)
• Broad maintenance knowledge: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry
• Assist with court-ordered set-outs when necessary
• Perform unit turnover between residents (3–5 days)
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal
• Prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Be responsive to on-call emergencies

As our Maintenance Technician, you will provide high quality service to our residents, joining a team of outstanding team members with a commitment to excellence. You will hold yourself to a high set of standards, demonstrate a positive, service-minded demeanor, and successfully manage multiple shifting priorities. You will be responsible for the routine maintenance of the physical integrity of the community, including daily pickup of grounds, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be our go‑to person to ensure our residents are taken care of in the event of an emergency.

We are embracing technology in how we serve our communities. Our HVAC Technicians receive work orders on our Maintenance Mobile app. You will be provided a stipend for your use of your personal smartphone to stay connected with us and process through your work orders.

Summary Of Responsibilities

• Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary
• Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days)
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Be responsive to on‑call emergencies
