Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician in Shawnee, Kansas. You will assist the Maintenance Manager with general maintenance and repair of the community and physical plant, ensuring safe, clean, and comfortable operations.

Responsibilities include responding to resident requests, following directions for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs, and handling exterior tasks such as irrigation and roofing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school or 6 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance.
• Follow directions to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs.
• Perform exterior tasks such as irrigation, tree/vegetation work, pool maintenance (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing.
