Memorial Coliseum is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Laborer to support electrical, HVAC/plumbing, or Audio/Visual tasks for Coliseum events in Fort Wayne, IN. The role requires flexible hours, basic technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

The position emphasizes safety, communication with staff, and the ability to read event drawings. A HS diploma or GED is required, along with owning basic hand tools and willingness to learn Coliseum software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with little supervision.
• Basic knowledge/aptitude in designated area (i.e. electrical, HVAC/plumbing, Audio/Visual).
• Ability to communicate courteously and professionally.
• Computer knowledge to learn Coliseum-specific software.
• Ability to read drawings for event setups.
• Must have a flexible schedule.
• Must have own hand tools and be able to use power tools safely.
• Comfortable working at heights and communicating with the Plant Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

• Electrical: basic troubleshooting and device replacements; set power per client specs.
• HVAC/Plumbing: basic repairs for HVAC and plumbing tasks.
• Audio/Visual: set up and operate sound equipment; repair cables; lighting knowledge is a plus.
• Read and follow drawings for event setups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain safety and proper tool usage on site.
