Job summary

Northwest Real Estate Capital Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Technician and Property Manager. Responsibilities include janitorial duties, grounds upkeep, minor repairs, and assisting with apartment turnovers.

The role is part-time, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, split between Beech Street Apartments and Fern Ridge Apartments. Strong attention to detail and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in maintenance work.
• Able to perform physical tasks and operate maintenance tools.
• Able to work with residents and staff professionally.
• Flexibility to work at two sites (Beech Street & Fern Ridge).

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders accurately and clean up work areas.
• Assist with property repairs (painting, carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Support unit turnovers and preparation of vacant units.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; snow/ice removal.
• Provide on-call maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventory, and assist with invoices.
• Run property-related errands as needed.
