Cedarhurst Senior Living in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a part-time Maintenance Coordinator to keep the community safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents. You will handle interior/exterior duties, repairs, and preventative tasks, ensuring timely upkeep of all facilities and amenities.

The role requires basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical skills, with experience in property management preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
• Maintenance training program may substitute work experience.
• State license(s) as required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Proficient with carpentry, drywall, painting, light plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
• Basic computer skills and software proficiency (Internet, MS Office, electronic records).

Responsibilities

• Keep building areas clean and well-maintained to high standards.
• Assist grounds maintenance and collaborate with landscaping contractors.
• Document and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Prepare and refurbish apartments for move-ins (patching, painting, flooring).
• Maintain fire safety records and respond to emergencies and environmental concerns.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance and track work orders.
• Operate building management software to document tasks and turnovers.
• Repair janitorial equipment and building facilities.
• Support communication between staff and residents’ families.
• Collaborate with team and follow management direction; take initiative as needed.
