Job summary

Torus Group is seeking a part-time Maintenance Business Support to assist the Assets Team in delivering property maintenance services across our housing portfolio.

The role is 22.2 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday, based between St Helens and Warrington (Bank Park House). After a training period, there may be the option to work from home one day per week, subject to business needs.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
• Experience providing business, administrative or compliance support in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Confident using IT systems and databases to monitor activities and support compliance requirements.
• An understanding of compliance, governance and the importance of accurate record keeping.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a maintenance, construction or operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and value for money.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience within a housing, property maintenance, asset management or compliance environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide business support to a multi-disciplinary technical team, supporting areas including Disrepair, Responsive Repairs, HHSRS Hazards and Empty Properties.
• Help coordinate and monitor maintenance activities, supporting the delivery of surveys, inspections, works and task planning.
• Ensure maintenance and compliance activities are delivered in line with agreed targets, standards and service requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, audit trails and documentation, updating asset management, housing and financial systems as required.
• Review service records and maintenance information, ensuring data is accurate, complete and up to date.
• Monitor the progress of assigned tasks and provide proactive support to internal and external customers, helping to deliver a right first time service.
• Support the implementation of maintenance policies, processes and procedures across the Assets Team.
• Assist with the development of systems and processes that improve efficiency, assurance, continuous improvement and value for money.
• Build strong working relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders, providing a professional and responsive service.
• Support the delivery of operational plans while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures, risk management and health and safety requirements.
