Job summary

FamilyCore is seeking a Maintenance Resource to support maintenance, appearance, safety, and functionality of the facility on a part-time contract basis. This role includes setting up for meetings, cleaning tasks, basic repairs, and grounds upkeep to keep spaces clean, safe, and operational.

As a contract part-time position, no company-sponsored benefits are provided. The anticipated schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in facilities maintenance or custodial preferred.
Basic knowledge of building maintenance, minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and repair techniques.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Pass background check with DCFS.

Responsibilities

Set up and arrange tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings and events.
Perform routine cleaning tasks including carpet spot removal and furniture cleaning.
Replace interior and exterior light bulbs.
Complete painting projects and touch-ups.
Perform minor plumbing maintenance including toilets and fixtures.
Assist with moving furniture and other tasks as directed.
Maintain dehumidifiers and drainage lines.
Inspect and replace emergency lighting, exit signs, and floodlights.
Perform basic grounds maintenance including weed control and litter removal.
Clean exterior building features and drainage areas around loading dock.
Perform minor repairs to walls, doors, outlets, ceilings tiles, and other building components.
Maintain safe and organized work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
