At Country Life Natural Foods in Pullman, MI, we are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our production team. With a salary of $15 - $16 per hour, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our machinery, contributing to the creation of our wholesome products. This is a part-time position with the possibility to move to full-time after training.

Responsibilities

• Operate food processing equipment such as mixers, blenders, ovens, and filling machines
• Troubleshoot when machinery malfunctions
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to maintain product quality and consistency
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Package and label finished items for shipment
• Maintain adherence to safety guidelines and food safety regulations
• Stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and regularly lift/move 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs
• Display meticulous attention to detail while working with precision
• Efficiently manage time and communicate effectively within the team
• Follow written and verbal instructions

Qualifications

• Previous experience in machine operation
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines
• Technical aptitude to learn and operate different types of machinery
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Capability to lift 60 lbs repetitively
• Understanding and adhering to job requirements and safety guidelines
• Ability to initiate, prioritize tasks, and solve problems logically
• Willingness to work independently or collaboratively as needed
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing conditions

Compensation

$14 - $16 hourly
