Join to apply for the Assistant Machine Operator - 3rd shift role at New-Indy Containerboard LLC

Rate: $19.00/hr + $3.00/hr shift premium ($22.00)

Schedule: Monday thru Thursday 9pm to 7am

Role Summary:

Works under the direction of the Machine Operator and supervision of the Converting Production Supervisor. Provides excellent customer service by ensuring daily scheduled production is completed timely and cost-efficiently. This is generally considered an entry-level position.

What You'll Do

1. Ensure daily scheduled production is completed efficiently.
2. Stack finished products upon completion.
3. Assist in training new operators.
4. Perform as operator during absence.
5. Assist with machine setup, feeding, stacking, and removal of printing plates and dies.
6. Help ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
7. Support adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Occasionally operate powered industrial equipment.
11. Follow internal quality and safety protocols.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Perform repetitive motions and use hand tools.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing setting with noise, dust, varying temperatures, and moving machinery.
• Use of safety gear as required.
