Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a Part Time Nursing Instructor for our LVN program in Bakersfield, CA. Evening and weekend availability is required. No prior teaching experience is required, but you must have 3 years of bedside experience with a BSN or 6 years with an LVN degree.

You will teach both lectures and clinical rotations, review syllabi, and stay current with safety regulations and nursing practices. Strong mentoring and communication skills are essential, and immunizations/BLS must be up

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of nursing practice and clinical skills.
• Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab and clinical settings.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in LVN program; evenings and weekends as required.
• Teach both lecture content and clinical rotations.
• Review and revise syllabi per program guidelines.
• Submit required reports to Director in a timely manner.
• Maintain student records of attendance, grades and skills check‑offs.
• Stay current with immunizations and BLS, and maintain clinical requirements.
• Participate in committees and professional development.
