Job summary

Unitek Learning's Unitek College of Nursing is seeking a part-time Nursing Instructor to teach in the LVN program on the South San Francisco campus. Evening classes and Saturday clinicals are required, with shifts Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30pm–11pm and Saturdays 7am–7pm.

Responsibilities include updating syllabi, integrating online activities, maintaining student records, and staying current with nursing standards.

Qualifications

• RN or LVN licensure in the state of teaching
• BSN or approved nursing degree per state requirements
• Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab and clinical settings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Current immunizations and BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Improve instruction quality by applying diverse teaching methods and new technologies
• Utilize online activities to enhance course content during interactive sessions
• Review and revise course syllabi according to program guidelines
• Submit program reports to the Director in a timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date student attendance, grades and skill assessments
• Keep student records related to clinical requirements and immunizations
• Teach courses and supervise clinical rotations including evenings and weekends
• Participate in professional development and stay current with college updates
• Participate in committees as needed based on availability and teaching duties
